Staff Accountant
Responsibilities
- Accounts payable for multiple entities
- Prepare deposits and manage accounts receivable
- Maintain general ledgers for multiple clients
- Calculate monthly commissions
- Manage payroll through Paychex
- Prepare 1099s
- Prepare sales tax returns and business tax returns
- Prepare tax workpapers for the tax department
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
- 1 to 2 years of general ledger experience including accounts payable and journal entries is preferred
- Knowledge of payroll tax and sales tax is a plus
- Strong excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and prioritize workload
